Following the successful launch of the collaboration at MBR 2025, PETRONAS (MPM), Earth Science Analytics (ESA) continue their joint efforts to advance exploration opportunities in the Malay Basin using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
MBR WELL AND SEISMIC PACKAGE
The PETRONAS myPROdata platform provides subscribers with access to Malaysia’s exploration and production (E&P) data. The partnership has focused on integrating of EarthNET with PETRONAS myPROdata to accelerate access of large amount of curated data.
Wells over 2000 have been ingested, and gone through a rigorous quality control, and the filling the gaps of missing log, reservoir characterization, and pay analysis using AI assisted workflow.
Seismic volumes 40,000 sqkm, has been included in this basin scale study. 3D reservoir properties, fault volumes and horizons are available. AI based workflow has been used to the seismic results. This Map of well locations in Peninsular Malaysia.

DELIVERABLES
WELL Deliverables:
Harmonized well logs, both original and edited, used as training data for machine learning models (e.g., gamma ray, resistivity, neutronporosity, density, compressional sonic, shear sonic), available in .las or .csv format.
Additional outputs include ML-predicted values for missing logs (density, compressional sonic, shear sonic), CPI properties (porosity, water saturation,VCLW), and elastic property logs (Vp, Vs, Vp/Vs, AI), all in .las or .csv format.
Also provided are pay class intervals (Gross Interval, Net Interval, Reservoir Mean Porosity, etc.),
Seismic Deliverables:
Property prediction and automated interpretation, deliverables include ML-predicted elastic and reservoir property volumes (VP, VS, density, porosity, water saturation, lithology) in .segy or .zgy format, fault probability volumes in .segy or .zgy, and ML-based interpreted horizons in ASCII format. Time-depth logs and upscaled logs of elastic and reservoir properties are also provided in .csv or .las format.
These deliverables are available through premium subscriptions as follows:
- Tier-1 Enhanced Subscription: Includes cleaned and verified wells, seismic viewer, and upscaling for inline and crossline, X and Y coordinates.
- Tier-2 Advanced Subscription: Adds missing logs, reservoir characterization, and pay analysis for 1D Property Prediction.
- Tier-3 Full Seismic & Reservoir Package: Provides seismic property predictions, reservoir predictions for 3D screening. Currently covering few of the PETRONAS MPM proprietary seismic in North Malay Basin and Tembakau areas and will be extended to the TGS Multi-Client seismic data. Results of TGS package are available only to clients who have licensed the underlying MC data from TGS.
Tier-1 Enhanced Subscription
Cleaned and harmonized well curve data set and seismic viewer with legacy seismic volumes. This map showcases >500 QC’ed exploration wells from Peninsular Malaysia, with column heights representing Gamma Ray. Two selected wells include porosity histograms, demonstrating Tier 1’s advanced analytical capabilities for subsurface evaluation.
Tier-2 Advanced Subscription
Adding ML-based missing logs, reservoir characterization, and pay analysis for 1D Property Prediction, along with the uncertainty measures.
Tier-3 Full Seismic & Reservoir Package
Provide seismic property predictions for reservoir and elastic properties for 3D screening. Currently covering few of the PETRONAS MPM proprietary seismic in North Malay Basin and Tembakau areas and will be extended to the TGS Multi-Client seismic data.
